Founded in 2014, Merlot Aero provides digital flight crew management solutions to dozens of airlines, allowing them to provide an end-to-end offering of digitally enabled crew performance software and expertise that extends from training through optimized crew operations. In December 2020, Merlot Aero was fully acquired by CAE International Holdings Limited of Canada.

Symon Thurlow

Co-Founder and CEO, Parallo, a rhipe company

Symon’s career in IT started as a Systems Engineer twenty years ago. He’s a techie at heart and wrenched himself off the tools becoming the Technical Director of a national Business Continuity services provider. In 2011 he established Parallo with Shaun and Nicole, two long time workmates who each provide a little YANG to Symon’s abundant charisma and optimism. Out of work you’ll find Symon in a little tin boat off the coast of Great Barrier Island looking for his last iPhone 7.
