NASA puts finishing touches on its first Mars-bound spacecraft

NASA engineers and technicians have put the finishing touches on Orion, the spacecraft designed to take astronauts into deep space.

NASA Engineers installed a four-piece fairing over Orion a few weeks ago as one of the final major assembly steps for the spacecraft.
NASA’s Orion spacecraft was completed Thursday, at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It is set for a Dec. 4 test flight from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
