ARN's Community Manager, Hafizah Osman, has disappeared under a flood of community picture stories and reports of company events, so we thought what better to do than put them all in a slideshow summing up the week in the channel. This week features company awards and overseas partner conferences amongst other events. Are you pictured in the last channel round-up for the year?

  • Oki recently rewarded its partners at its annual four day incentive trip in Japan.

  • The Oki Club trip is aimed at rewarding Oki’s top performing Australian channel partners for the period between April to September 2012.

  • The eight channel partner companies who either were the top performing partners or the top year on year growth partners included eStore, Downs Office, CQ Digital, Berwicks, Bundaberg Computers, Nexgen Australia, OBC and Press BM. Most of the winners who scooped many of the awards were Queensland dealers.

  • Some highlights from the trip included: visiting local markets and temples, Oki Data headquarters, and the annual OKI Trade Fair Show which showcased its technology capabilities.

  • The partners also visited the Hakone tourist site at the foot of Mount Fuji and celebrated their success in the bright lights and bars of Rappongi.

  • Data#3 recently received the FY’12 Cisco Services Asia-Pacific Japan and Greater China (APJC) Smart Services award in the partner category for A/NZ. The award was announced at the Cisco APJC Partner-Led Conference in Bangkok and recognises partners across the region for their use of Cisco intellectual capital and proactive service capabilities. Data#3 maintenance solutions national manager, John Tan, managed services general manager, Patrick Murphy and group general manager, Laurence Baynham, accepted the award via Cisco telepresence.

  • Kaseya has announced its A/NZ Managed Service Provider (MSP) of the Year Awards for 2012. The 2012 MSP awards recognise partners that meet or exceed revenue expectations, such as license sales and maintenance deals, and create successful customer relationships through the delivery of Kaseya solutions. C3 Group won overall honours as MSP of the Year for 2012, Diamond IT won Most Innovative Managed Service Provider of the Year and centreRed IT was announced as A/NZ Emerging Managed Service Provider of the Year.

  • The Kaseya A/NZ MSP of the Year awards were announced following the annual Kaseya Kup sailing event on Sydney Harbour, with more than 70 service providers and business partners in attendance.

  • ShoreTel recently held its annual partner conference in Orlando, Florida, which invited more than 1300 attendees – including ShoreTel partners from A/NZ.

  • During the partner conference, the company also awarded two of its a/NZ partners during the annual ShoreTel Partner Awards: NSC Group for Asia-Pacific deal of the Year, and Fredon Industries for Asia-Pacific new partner of the Year.

  • Digital Networks Australia (DNA), distributor of Ipswitch’s WhatsUp Gold, has held a series of technical seminars on the software’s latest features. The first events were held in Sydney on November 28 and Melbourne on December 4. Further sessions will be announced for early 2013.

  • Data#3 launched its annual 12 Days of Christmas program, supporting 12 different charities over Christmas last year. The Smith Family was selected as the lead charity in 2012. It will support five national charities and seven local charities nationally including Sydney Homeless Connect, World Vision, Down Syndrome WA, Cerebral Palsy League of Queensland, Montrose Access, Make a Wish Foundation, MS Society, Camp Quality, Keppel Rural Fire Brigade Group, Clean Up Australia and Guide Dogs Australia.

  • The program ran across the first 12 working days in December and aimed to support charities, not-for-profit and community groups that the business has pledged to support through donations, volunteering and fundraising activities.
