  • Networking vendor, ZyXEL, caught up with its A/NZ distributor, SMS eTechnologies, and channel partners over lunch at in Sydney to discuss the current state of the networking market and how ZyXEL can enable partners to profitably grow their business.

  • To help ZyXEL better understand what local resellers value the most of a vendor’s partner program, SMS eTechnologies, each partner commented on the current networking vendor space in A/NZ and their partner programs.

  • Most attendees mentioned training and certification, marketing and technical support when asked about the things ZyXEL could do to grow a partners’ business.

  • The discussion also focused on decommoditising the networking market by certified resellers providing value added services beyond mere product fulfillment to end users.

  • Interactive Intelligence and Tecala Group embarked on relationship building and customer education event with the recent New South Wales Rally Day. The event started over a breakfast, then the team went on a two hour long expedition out to Colo Heights, where they raced three cars racing at a time around two dirt tracks. This was followed by a barbeque lunch, followed by a chance for each of the guests to experience speed on the track – the Rally School driving instructors sped around the track while the attendees got into the passenger seat. The Rally Day finished off with the bus ride back to the Hilton hotel in Sydney and a few drinks at the Marble Bar.

  • As part of their sponsorship BenQ have provided the event with a professional tournament crew to assist gamers at each stop of the tour. The crew will assist gamers personalise the calibration setting of their tournament monitors and familiarise them with all the monitor features to bring out the best in their gameplay performances.

  • Eclipse Computing Australia, a subsidiary of UXC, has been recognised as the country’s best recommended employer in the software industry at the annual Australian Business Awards. The award acknowledged the company’s achievements in developing a strong and thriving employee culture where people feel valued and inspired to work. The company said it adopts a range of employee innovations including its OneEclipse program, competitive salaries, suppliedlunches, staff massages and lunches with the CEO. According to the company, what led to its win was it embracing flexible working and promoting a people orientated culture, providing a whole range of employee benefits.
