  • Google has launched the brand new 360˚ panoramic imagery of famous sites in Antarctica for the World Wonders Project site. Brad Herried of the Polar Geospatial Center captures Discovery Hut, built in 1901 for Robert F. Scott's Expedition, near McMurdo Station.

  • StorageCraft has been training 500 customers and resellers of its ShadowProtect solutions in A/NZ, in the space of six weeks. The company’s Technical Workshop: ‘Disaster recovery in the cloud - building a local, remote and Cloud-based disaster recovery solution’, drew 110 participants in Melbourne and 130 in Sydney, with similar events in Brisbane, Perth and Auckland.

  • Aastra most recently held a partner conference for its certified channel partners from A/NZ and Papua New Guinea in Hanoi, Vietnam. It was a great opportunity for the resellers to network with each other and the Aastra team, while also enjoying a Vietnamese dinner, music by a traditional Vietnamese band, a dance performance and cooking classes – where all participants learnt to cook a four-course dinner for themselves.

  • Kiandra IT was recently named the winner of the Commonwealth Bank Medium Business Award category at the Telstra Business Awards.   • The winners of the 2012 Communications Alliance and CommsDay Awards were announced at the Annual ACOMM Awards dinner in Sydney. Attended by more than 500 industry leaders, the evening’s keynote address was delivered by Minister for Communications, Broadband and the Digital Economy, Senator Stephen Conroy.
