Vault, an Australian ASD certified trusted cloud provider within government, today announced the appointment of Anthony Simkins as Sales Director. Commencing his role with immediate effect, Simkins joins the company with a mandate to develop a strong partner network and expand Vault’s portfolio of services in Australia.
The appointment of Simkins represents an important step aimed to meet Vault‘s bullish expansion plans over the next year. “Vault has experienced significant strides in its growth trajectory over the last few years and we intend to continue making the cloud a secure place for the government. This is an incredibly important appointment for the business and for our partners and customers - one that reflects our desire to extend our secure cloud services to government in other states”, said Rupert Taylor-Price, Founder and CEO at Vault Systems.
Simkins brings two decades of experience and breadth of knowledge in the IT industry to this role. He joins Vault from Fujitsu Australia, where he was most recently the Vice President responsible for Sales and Fujitsu’s Platform’s business.
Prior to Fujitsu, Simkins also held senior positions during a 19 year career with Accenture, including Strategy Consulting, Managing Director of Ventures and Acquisitions, Financial Services, Asia Pacific, and Managing Director, Market Maker and Sales, Financial Services, Australia and New Zealand. In those capacities, he was responsible for developing the ventures and acquisitions strategy and origination, sales culture and capability, and leading individual and team sales.
Simkins also contributes to the prosperity of digital start-ups as an advisory board member at Realy, assisting with partnership formation, platform development, marketing strategy and product launch.
