IDC MarketScape Names Soprano Design a 'Major Player' in CPaaS 2021 Vendor Assessment

Soprano Design, a global communications platform-as-a-service (CPaaS) leader, has been named a ‘Major Player’ in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Communications Platform as a Service 2021 Vendor Assessment report.

May 7, 2021, Sydney – Soprano Design, a global communications platform-as-a-service (CPaaS) leader, has been named a ‘Major Player’ in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Communications Platform as a Service 2021 Vendor Assessment (doc #US46746221, April 2021) report. This recognition comes off the company’s prominent rise in growth and innovation while showcasing organisations’ needs for omnichannel communications and digital transformation to meaningfully interact with customers.

In February, Soprano launched the industry’s first Whole-Of Government CPaaS solution for entire country organisations to utilise comprehensive CPaaS capabilities across every department. Governments are now able to consolidate their existing G2C (government-to-citizen) services onto a single communications platform to better engage with their citizens.

“Soprano Design’s Whole of Government communications solution is the most comprehensive government/citizens communications platform available in this segment to date,” said Courtney Munroe, Research VP, WW Telecommunications Research, IDC. “This platform facilitates modular departmental use cases or broad-based agency notifications. It also addresses key security and compliance requirements, that can be customized by agencies or regions. While other CPaaS providers are offering piece meal offerings, Soprano Design’s platform will be well received for its consistency and orchestration capabilities.”

Soprano also acquired APAC-based CPaaS provider Silverstreet in December to grow its presence and customer base in the region. Over the last 25 years, Soprano has pioneered the CPaaS industry and represents a multitude of Forbes 2000 and Fortune 500 companies with its comprehensive Soprano Connect platform.

“If we fast forward to today, customers want to be able to choose the option of how they communicate with brands,” said Matt Thompson, VP of Global Marketing at Soprano Design. “We’re striving to innovate how organisations of any size provide the best possible communication experience regardless of medium. Government is an increasing focus for us as we leverage what we’ve learned and apply it the world’s current issues.”

The platform helps large organisations, governments and more than 5,000 companies enrich the relationship with customers, citizens and employees through meaningful interactions on channels such as SMS, RCS, WhatsApp, Email, Voice Calls and IP messaging.

“With its roots in mobile messaging, Soprano Design has deep integration with tier-one mobile operators around the world. It differentiates with its reliability, ease of use and flexible billing and support platform,” the IDC MarketScape report said.
