The annual golfing charity event is a way for IT businesses in Australia to contribute to charity.
In its 8th successful year, Secure Agility’s CEO, David Abouhaidar, has continued the well-known annual charity golf day under the brand ’IT For A Cause’ as an opportunity for the IT industry to unite for an event.
In 2021, the beneficiaries will be Ronald McDonald House Charities Sydney and Save Our Sons Duchenne Foundation. Last year, $60,000 was raised for the sick children of our community. This year, thanks to the generosity of this incredible industry uniting to make a difference, we are on target to raise more again.
According to David Abouhaidar, he established ‘IT For A Cause’ to help co-ordinate IT and Technology companies who are focussed on giving back to those in need. “We are part of an amazing industry and collectively, we can have a huge impact in making a difference for those less fortunate. This is not a charity – but simply a channel for raising money and distributing it to chosen registered charities in the community” he says. “My hope is that any vendor, distributor or partner conducting a charity event, can do so under the same branding”. 100% of all money raised is distributed equally to the chosen charities after costs.
The event will be held on Wednesday, April 14th from 12:30pm at St Michaels Course, Little Bay and conclude with a dinner from 6pm.
Confirmed top-tier sponsors this year include Arrow, Palo Alto Networks, AstronTech and HP. There are still team and sponsorship packages available. For more information please contact Jody.King@secureagility.com.
