  • A scanner for every season

    Entry level scanners are now so cheap, they're an ideal SOHO add-on. The sweet spot is just below $200, including a lot of bundled software, a pass-through parallel cable and almost foolproof set-up routine. Likewise, the wide range of sub-$1000 scanners are becoming cheaper, better, easier to use and have more bundled applications. Products within each group are remarkably similar, but it's the range of add-ons that makes a difference.
