Integrator Aztech Business Services has completed the second phase of its implementation of a Great Plains e-commerce, Microsoft SQL Server-based financial management solution for distributor Siltek Asia-Pacific.
Aztech Business Services completed the project for Siltek's Prion Technology subsidiary in under six weeks. The project is part of Siltek's $1 million dollar investment to become totally e-enabled across its Asia-Pacific businesses.
Aztech Business Services's managing director, Winton Gibson, said one of the highlights of the program had been the short implementation timeframe for the second phase (six weeks from agreement to the "go live" stage).
"What has made the implementation more remarkable is the fact that Prion had been running on multiple systems maintained by its former parent company, AAG, which was also in the process of changing its own systems," Gibson said.
Siltek Asia-Pacific managing director Hugh Evans said it had chosen Aztech Business Services and Great Plains because it "provides our companies and customers with a totally integrated, fully supported e-business platform".
Evans said Aztech Business Services had provided Siltek with a very "personalised service".
According to Evans, it had selected the integrator because "they could give us the best attention and get the implementation done quickly".
He said Aztech Business Services was a "well-resourced, small personalised firm" which had provided Siltek with "the required mindshare" on the project.
