Powerlan's thirst for acquisitions is showing no signs of abating after the IT services company announced two more for the books: Centrelink Systems and Phase Shift Technology.
Centrelink Systems is a services company which specialises in software support and professional services. It focuses primarily on the IBM mainframe market, and its clients include government agencies, large financial institutions and manufacturing.
Its other acquisition, Phase Shift Technology, was formed to develop and market a software solution for Y2K issues for applications running under IBM's mainframe MVS and OS/390 operating systems.
In a statement relating to the Phase acquisition, Powerlan said it believes the underlying technology could be extended to "deliver solutions for extracting and integrating legacy application data into distributed enterprise platforms".
