Philips PC Peripherals has released a series of space-saving PC monitors.
According to Philips, the cathode ray tube (CRT) monitors, which come in sizes of 15, 17, 19 or 21 inches, occupy about 15 per cent less desk space than the company's previous monitors.
The wedge-shaped screens come with three different configurations for use with PCs, Macs and workstations and will be recommended to "all end users, including gamers, Internet users, the SOHO market and professional users", Philips said.
The vendor added that the monitor screens, which would be equipped with identical interfaces regardless of size or configuration, were capable of flicker-free displays of up to 92Hz.
The vendor also released 15 and 18-inch LCD monitors.
