Conference aims to fill a hole

The Australian Unix and Open Systems User Group (AUUG) has announced the speakers and program schedule for the third annual AUUG Security Symposium.
The event, which will take place in Canberra on February 20, provides a forum for discussion of security technologies, techniques and management.
It aims to fill a gap in the Australian conference scene between the commercial versions, which are loaded with marketing, and the academic-based research ones. Participants will come from government agencies and the academic sector as well as local, national and international organisations.
The event is sponsored by security vendor Fortinet.
The full programme and abstracts for most papers can be viewed online at www.auug.org.au/events/2004/security/.
