Ian Gill has been appointed CEO of Zivo, wholly-owned web integration business of LibertyOne.
Gill, the former CIO of Tasmania's Colonial Trust Bank, filled the shoes this week of acting Zivo CEO, Marcelle Anderson (head of Zivo's parent company LibertyOne), and that of former Zivo chief and co-founder Jeff Lewis, CEO since March 1999.
An IT industry veteran of 27 years, his credentials include senior technical, management and consulting roles with IBM, Ansett, IOOF and British Gas.
Gill will head what is believed to be LibertyOne's largest revenue generator. Zivo has annual revenues of $20 million.
Anderson said of Gill's appointment: "(He) has a proven track record as a leader who develops successful IT organisations. His ability to align business and IT objectives makes him the right person to oversee ZIVO as it restructures to sharpen its client focus and pursue growth opportunities."
ZIVO employs around 250 web specialists in Hong Kong, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra, Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch, Bangkok and Singapore.
Business clients include BHP, Hewlett Packard, Air New Zealand, Vodafone New Zealand, Hutchison Telecom and the Sino Group.
Gill was unavailable to comment on his vision for the Zivo business before press time.
