Casio has launched an upgraded model of its bathroom portable TV. The SY-4100 has a 4-inch colour TFT LCD and tunes conventional analog TV channels to provide bath time TV enjoyment — at least until the batteries run out, which should be after four hours of viewing. Casio said its last model, which went on sale in 2001, proved a hit amongst Japanese housewives in their 20s and 30s. The company has sold about 100,000 units. Apart from the screen-size and battery life there’s not really much more to say. You switch it on, tune it in and lay back in the tub enjoying your favourite TV show.
