Mia Distribution strikes national unified comms supply deal

Mia Distribution is set to see a boost in its unified communications (UC) business after partnering up with national IT support franchise network Computer Troubleshooters in a new supplier arrangement.
The partnership sees Mia Distribution become Computer Troubleshooters’ preferred supplier for all of the unified communications requirements of its broader network of branded businesses.
From the perspective of the value-added distributor, which counts Polycom, Jabra and Yealink among the vendors whose products it distributes, the new partnership effectively gives the company access to one of Australia’s largest IT support franchises and managed service provider (MSP) brands.
“The agreement will help us deliver UC hardware devices, Skype for Business/Office 365 end points, networking equipment, UC&C [unified communications collaboration] platforms, SIP trunking and a cloud-based billing platform to ensure the individual franchisees can meet their growing Telco demands,” a spokesperson for Mia Distribution said.
“We look forward to being a part of the CTS growth strategy and are committed to ensuring they succeed in delivering industry leading voice solutions to market” the spokesperson said.
The new partnership comes several months after Mia Distribution signed a distribution agreement with Edgewater Networks, taking Network Edge Orchestration solutions to partners across Australia and New Zealand.
The move, revealed late last year, was designed to bolster voice over IP (VoIP) offerings locally, with Mia Distribution set to expand the reach of the vendor’s cloud-based EdgeView Service Control Centre and the EdgeMarc Intelligent Edges, featuring call quality monitoring, security, traffic shaping and zero touch provisioning.
“The Australia and New Zealand markets are experiencing rapid growth, which presents challenges to service providers to maintain efficiencies and quality in their deployments,” Edgewater Networks CEO Dave Norman said at the time.
