Lian Yu - General manager, Mittoni
Melbourne-headquartered distributor, Mittoni, has appointed a new general manager as it eyes a new chapter of growth.
The company, which distributes products and services from the likes of ASUS, Logitech, Creative, Noctua, Thrustmaster and G.Skill, among others, has named its product director, Lian Yu, as its new general manager.
"The appointment supports the changing demands and requirements of the company due to our continuing growth," Mittoni founder and director Louis Mittoni said. "We have been fortunate to have strong customer and supplier support generating revenue growth in recent years.
"The appointment of Lian [Yu] to the role of general manager will assist us to manage growth as we progress through yet another stage in our development."
With more than fifteen years of experience in the IT distribution industry, Mittoni said that it is expected that You will lead the company's growth over the next five to ten years.
Indeed, it is anticipated that Yu will direct future growth and the general business decisions of the company, with branches and senior staff reporting directly to her from October onwards.
"I am delighted and grateful to increase my involvement in the management of Mittoni," said Yu. "Our business has expanded rapidly in the past five years and there [is] no doubt professionalism and integrity have been key to this success.
"Myself and the team look forward to working closely with our customers and vendors to expand our collective success even further in the market place."
The new appointment comes after Mittoni moved its head office and operations to a new facility in Dandenong South, Victoria.
According to Mittoni, the increased investment in storage and warehouse systems was needed to help the company cope with its current and planned growth.
The appointment comes as fellow - if much larger - distributor, Tech Data, names former Dicker Data non-executive director, Wendy O'Keeffe, as its new A/NZ country general manager, replacing former local general manager, Darren Adams, in the role.
