Internet of Things expansion underway as Intel Australia further aligns with Synnex

Synnex becomes an Intel Authorised Distributor for embedded Internet of Things (IoT) Products.

Intel Australia has confirmed long-term distribution partner Synnex as an Intel Authorised Distributor for embedded Internet of Things (IoT) Products.

Terms of the agreement will see Synnex support existing and future channel partners to sell an expanded portfolio of IoT products and solutions with the expanded range consisting of Intel's embedded components, IoT gateways and industrial PCs from selected Intel IoT Solutions Alliance partners.

“The power of computing is extending well beyond PCs, tablets and phones to everything we touch and see," Intel Australia and New Zealand, Channel Sales Director, V.R. Rajkumar said.

"Everyday objects are becoming smarter and more connected, which is changing the way we live and work.

"This is especially true in Australia with the IoT market growing significantly in the past year. Partnerships such as this one will help us meet that growing demand."

Effective April 2016, Rajkumar said these offerings will complement Synnex's Cloud services to provide customers with a "complete end-to-end solution", enabling increased security and productivity.

“Synnex is delighted to partner with Intel as an IoT distributor," Synnex Australia and New Zealand CEO Kee Ong added. "We can provide end-to-end IoT solutions, from embedded components and system devices through to networking and Cloud solutions.

"This is a great milestone for Synnex and we look forward to working closely with Intel to support our reseller community and take IoT products to market."

Synnex joins Braemac, an existing embedded and IoT specialist distributor, which offers its customers design, engineering and integration services in gaming, medical instrumentation, retail, mining, agriculture and other industries.
