Managed Cloud company, Rackspace, has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) DevOps competency as part of the AWS Partner Competency Program.
The program recognises members of the AWS Partner Network who have completed a third-party audit demonstrating their expertise in DevOps practices, tools and customer success.
Rackspace customers will be able to access this expertise as well as 24x7 operational support through Fanatical Support for AWS architects and engineers, who collectively hold more than 270 AWS Professional and Associate certifications globally.
Additionally, Rackspace said customers using the Aviator service will receive ongoing support for native AWS DevOps tools such as AWS OpsWorks, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CodeDeploy, AWS CodePipeline and AWS CodeCommit.
Rackspace added that its engineers can also utilise third-party DevOps tools including Chef, SaltStack and Ansible as an additional to ensure customers have choice around their preferred DevOps toolset.
“The DevOps movement is built around a group of people who believe that the application of a combination of appropriate technology and attitudes can revolutionise the world of software development and delivery,” said Rackspace director and general manager A/NZ, Angus Dorney.
“The great news is that here in Australia, organisations with a DevOps strategy are most likely to understand what they want to achieve from the process. With this new competency, that puts Rackspace in an even better position to help Australian organisations achieve those goals,” he added.
