Telecommunications provider My Net Fone (ASX:MNF) has acquired the software development business, source code and intellectual property of S2Net.
The purchase includes OpenCA with associated intelligent networking software components.
The acquisition will enhance MNF’s product offering, speed to market and add to its network strength and capacity.
Based in Sydney, OpenCA provides soft switching and intelligent call control functionality for VoIP networks.
MNF has paid $500,000 for the source code and intellectual property rights of the OpenCA soft switch and other related intelligent network source code.
“The acquisition of the S2Net software assets will provide an enormous benefit to MNF, even though the size of the transaction is relatively immaterial. The OpenCA platform is complementary to the company’s existing software assets and paves the way for rapid and low cost network expansion in Australian and international markets,” MNF CEO, Rene Sugo, said.
