FileMaker has launched its next generation platform which enables businesses to create custom solutions for iPad, iPhone, Windows, Mac and the web.
Filemaker 13 makes it faster and easier to create faster and easier to develop tailored solutions and includes a new, HTML5 browser-based technology that allows teams to deploy desktop-style solutions in web browser with no programming skills required.
Filemaker Inc vice-president, Ryan Rosenberg, said any team could quickly create custom solutions that streamlined their business processes while minimising design time.
““The FileMaker 13 Platform gives organisations even more options for delivering powerful but easy-to-use solutions, including breakthrough web technology, along with impressive new design tools for iOS and desktops,” he said.
It also includes tools to create iPad and iPhone solutions that support iOS behaviours, including slide controls, popovers and the ability to scan records using gestures.
Improvements to design capabilities, include support for shareable custom themes and styles, and the ability to drag and drop data fields onto design layout.
It has more robust security, with AES 256-bit encryption that locks down data no matter where it lives – on iPad, iPhone, desktop or server.
