Ricoh IT Services has become a registered supplier within the NSW Government ICT services scheme.
As an Advanced Registered Partner, Ricoh now has the ability to bid for government contracts worth more than $150,000.
Head of Ricoh IT Services, Matthew Dixon, was optimistic it would help generate new business opportunities within government agencies.
“Through our Sydney-based data centres we have addressed key issues relating to data sovereignty and security that government agencies have identified as they look to use ‘as-a-service’ solutions,” he said.
Dixon said it was also expanding its managed services offerings and will be looking to add Infrastructure-as-a-service, disaster recovery-as-a-service and managed backup.
The service provider is a division of print vendor, Ricoh Australia, after it acquired IT services company, IMC Communications, in October last year.
The acquisition bolstered Ricoh’s global strategy to be a complete technology services-based organisation and expanded its capabilities to include managed IT services.
