IT services provider, ASG Group, has signed a multi-million dollar agreement with Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA), extending existing deals concluded since June to $86 million.
The agreement is said to be the next step after ASG was initially contracted by MRWA to “upgrade and migrate their systems to ASG’s Cloud platform” from the Department of Finance Shared Services.
According to a statement, the deal will also make provision for additional project services in the future, and will modernise MRWA’s Enterprise Resource Planning system by deploying an Oracle E-Business Suite.
“ASG’s offering was attractive to MRWA because they wanted a locally hosted option rather than the offshore-based offerings of our multinational competitors,” ASG CEO, Geoff Lewis, said. “Forward-thinking organisations are increasingly attracted to ASG’s unique offering of traditional managed services and Cloud-based services.”
ASG chief executive officer (CEO), Geoff Lewis, said, “Our success in 2013 demonstrates our renewed approach to bidding for contracts.”
Since June 2013, ASG has signed a number of agreements with a range of public and private sector organisations countrywide. This includes a long-term strategic partnership with Clough, a five-year, $11.3 million deal with the Department of Housing, and a five-year $14.8 million contract with the Department of Education in Western Australia.
