Dell award winners (L to R): Dell's Peter Murphy; Global One's John Kara; Anittel's Michael Cook; Intuit's Pieter Kolkert; Anittel's Peter Kazacos; Dell's Richard Lee and Terence Ng.
Three Australian partners have been recognised in Dell’s Asia Pacific and Japan PartnerDirect Excellence Awards.
Visiting Dell Asia Pacific and Japan vice-president of global commercial channel, Richard Lee, presented the awards to the recipients which included Intuit Technologies, Anittel and Global One Technologies.
Intuit picked up the award for server excellence; Anittel scored the storage excellence award and Global One Technologies achieved networking excellence.
Winners were based on overall revenue achieved during Dell’s Fiscal Year 2013; were required to hold Premier/Preferred certifications and be in excellent standing with the Dell business overall from February 2012 to January 2013.
This is the second year Dell held its PartnerDirect Excellence Awards.
Lee reinforced the vendor’s commitment to the channel. Globally the vendor has about 133,000 partners and the channel business makes up about 37 per cent of its worldwide commercial business. In Asia Pacific, that figure stands at about 39 per cent.
“What we want to do now with our indirect business is really focus on the next stage, which is enabling our partners with the end-to-end solutions we have,” Lee said.
Lee said it will also be looking at forming an engineers club in A/NZ, which has already been launched in China and India, where it will be directly sharing its technology and experts. He also touched on its continued focus on providing enablement and training for partners.
“If we train our partners better there will be more business opportunities they can uncover and partner with us,” Lee said.
