Australian consulting and technology firm, Oakton, has continued its growth and expansion plans for Western Australia (WA) with the appointment of Steve McNally to the position of WA executive general manager.
McNally, who has over 20 years’ experience in IT, including tenures at Dimension Data and Microsoft Australia, has been tasked with managing Oakton’s recently established WA office, and is responsible for the future direction of the company’s activities in the state.
The appointment contributes to Oakton’s aim of gaining greater access to the resources sector in WA, which it expects to have a high demand profile for consulting and IT services for some time.
“McNally is joining Oakton at a very exciting time for the company, to head up our new WA offices, as we are seeing a lot of great opportunities and growth potential in the WA market,” Oakton CEO and managing director, Neil Wilson, said.
“With McNally leading our expanding team in Perth, we are confident that we will leverage our existing position in the WA market and achieve significant growth in this exciting location.”
Oakton currently has about 25 consultants working in the WA market, nearly half of which are based offshore.
