ME Bank, which uses technology to deliver banking products and services, will be deploying Temenos’ banking software as part of a four-year business transformation program.
ME Bank is an Australian bank that is owned by Australia’s industry super funds. With no branches, the bank has adopted a ‘workplace banking’ approach, whereby mobilised bankers conduct banking services onsite within members’ workplaces.
The transformation will include core system replacement with Temenos T24, introducing an anti-money landering system with Temenos AML, and deploying a business analytics solution, Temenos Insight.
Temenos software will allow it achieve its three-year growth goals, challenge the traditional banking landscape, and meet the changing needs of its customers.
“Ease-of-use and efficient performance are key goals as we implement the multi-million dollar transformation of our technology platform” ME Bank chief information officer (CIO), Kathryn Hawkins, said. “The new system will reduce operational costs, improve customer experience and speed up the delivery of new products.”
Hawkins added that the IT overhaul will offer customers more self-service options, better stability, and more products.
The program will be implemented in four phases, and is scheduled for completion by June 2015.
