Kaseya unveils disaster recovery product with Storagecraft

IT systems management software provider, Kaseya, has launched a new integrated disaster recovery solution in conjunction with StorageCraft, which is designed for IT professionals and managed service providers on the back of requests from channel partners and the market.
This is the first product the companies have created together since the commencement of their partnership at the end of 2011, beginning of 2012.
The Kaseya System Backup and Restore (KSBR) module is based on OEM integration with StorageCraft’s ShadowProtect product, and has the ability to backup as well as configure and deploy remotely to provide the benefit of restoring an entire system, according to Kaseya. This includes the operating system, all applications, configuration settings, and data.
Kaseya also said that, as a result of its single pane of glass approach, KSBR will monitor and alarm the IT department if a disaster occurs, while providing the technician with the ability to immediately restore and provide uninterrupted access to systems and critical business information.
“What’s unique about this particular model is that channel providers who already have StorageCraft licenses and bring in or already have Kaseya, can just bring those under management and won’t have additional costs,” Kaseya president, Mark Sutherland, told ARN.
