Kyocera launches incentive program

Kyocera Mita has embarked on a channel program that it hopes will help pick up sales in a traditionally slow quarter.
The program, which runs until September 30, will offer dealers finance, sales incentives and a special demonstration discount.
"You would have to be Blind Freddy not to know it is tough out there in the market," Kyocera Mita managing director David Finn told ARN. "Dealers are doing it tough and it is our responsibility to offer them a good incentive program."
The first part of the program gives dealers up to 90 days interest free finance with GE Finance. This is designed to ease the cash flow burden for dealers.
"It helps dealers put stock on the floor because it all comes back to time and place," Finn explained. "Customers want to take product away with them or have it delivered the next day or they will walk out of the store."
The vendor is also offering its partners sales incentives which will reward successful dealers with holidays to Bali, Fiji, Singapore, or Hamilton Island, based on the number of KM-4230 and KM-6230 they buy. Kyocera Mita is also offering dealers special discounts on these two multifunction devices if they are bought as demonstration stock this month. Demonstration discounts are normally only available during the first month of the product's release.
The idea of the program is to make it as easy as possible to sell Kyocera products, according to Finn.
"There is no filling out form to participate," he said. "This goes right to the heart of what dealers want. They are our foremost customers and it will be a very difficult quarter. If we can make our dealers successful, then we are successful."
Kyocera Mita will also allocated marketing development funds to strategic resellers to help promote sales as well as providing an updated sales kit and comparisons on competing systems.
