Minolta-QMS takes on CHA staffer

Ingram Micro isn't the only company to snap up ex-CHA staff in the aftermath of the distributor's recent demise. Printing vendor Minolta-QMS has also been quick on the uptake of skilled channel personnel, signing up former CHA product manager Adnan Anakli to oversee channel sales in the southern states.
Anakli, who has administered the Minolta-QMS range at CHA for the last two years, has been appointed channel sales manager for Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania with the vendor. He will be based in Melbourne.
Minolta-QMS has taken on 10 new employees this year, effectively doubling its staffing levels. This is largely the result of the establishment of the vendor's technical and warranty call centre and sales support hotline, according to the company. Managing director for Minolta-QMS Asia Pacific, Stuart Drysdale also hopes it will help grow the vendor's market share in the south.
"Having Adnan based in Victoria also means we can offer a more personal service to our dealer base in the southern states," he said. "This was a key initiative for us to grow and develop that market."
