Toshiba names top reseller, distributor

Toshiba named its reseller and distributor of the year last week in New Zealand.

General manager Bruce Lakin said for the first time in the awards' history, Toshiba named back-to-back winners in both categories.

Tech Pacific took out the gong for Distributor of the Year, and Melbourne-based Southern Cross Computer Systems was named Reseller of the Year.

Lakin said the reseller award was based on five criteria: sales volume, a customer satisfaction survey, sales growth, attendance at Toshiba training events, and the business' credit rating.

For their efforts, Tech Pac and Southern Cross pick up a plaque and $25,000 of product each.

Toshiba flew 187 people, from resellers and distributors, to New Zealand for the awards presentation.
