Lockbox goes on a channel recruitment drive

Vendor of cloud privacy solution looks towards an expanded partner network for growth

Melbourne-based ‘cloud privacy’ vendor, Lockbox, is out on a recruitment drive to expand its channel partner network.

Lockbox’s product is aimed at providing companies with a secure and private way to share their files with the help of a client portal, typically embedded into a website.

According to Lockbox CEO, Peter Long, the search for new channel partners is a result of the product reaching a mature stage and the desire to make it available to a broader group.

“We think that going to market through partners makes the most sense as they have the trusted relationships with their clients, and Lockbox is a logical add-on to the products they already promote,” he said.

The vendor has attempted to make the product proposition attractive to partners by offering generous margin for each new client they bring on board.

“We have already road tested our partner program so that we know we have the right material, processes and support to enable resellers to successfully adopt Lockbox into their set of solutions that they provide their clients,” Long added.

The type of partners that Lockbox will be looking to collaborate with are web developers and/or IT Integrators and support companies that either have an existing relationship with professional SMEs and/or are looking to extend their client base with solutions that work well the professional SME marketplace.

By offering quick and cost-effectively deployment of private, cloud-based workspaces, Lockbox partners will have the ability to help customers share information with colleagues, clients, partners and associates in a more streamlined fashion.

When looking towards growth in the next 6 to 12 months, Long sees it being dependant on a significant number of resellers being added to its network.

“This is our focus for revenue growth both in the Australian and international markets,” he said.
