Telstra post-paid mobile customers that buy apps from BlackBerry App World can now push the charges on their monthly bill.
Paying for BlackBerry App World apps through a monthly bill is now an option for these customers.
Previously, customers had to use credit cards or PayPal to make payments.
Purchases made at App World as well as within existing apps can be charged on a standard Telstra mobile phone bill. This feature is intended to make purchases more convenient for customers.
“Carrier billing makes it easy for customers to purchase the games and apps they’re interested in without the hassle of having to reach for their credit cards,” Telstra mobile director, Tim Webber, said in a statement.
“We’re pleased to be working with RIM to offer this simple, secure and convenient way for our customers to purchase BlackBerry apps.”
Telstra customers that wish to take up this option need to log into their BlackBerry App World account and change their default payment option to “Bill through Telstra”.
