Digital lifestyle solutions provider, Lako Pacific, recently enrolled local digital technology distributor, Scholastic Media &Technology as its exclusive partner to distribute the entire range of Kaiser Baas products.
They include digital photoframes, DVD and photo makers, photoscanners and photo keyrings to the Mac, education and book channels, and Harvey Norman, Domain, Joyce Main and Leading Edge Group.
The company will also distribute Lako Pacific’s upcoming range of Kaiser Baas products, such as a TV tuner series and some new yet-to-be announced Bluetooth-enabled releases based around a digital lifestyle area, rolled out at the end of this year.
Lako Pacific national sales and marketing manager, Roger Sheldon-Collins, said, “The deal will give us more time to focus on our sales and marketing and also growing the business locally and internationally across channels such as North America, UK and the Asian markets.”
The deal came about after both Lako Pacific and Scholastic forged a relationship and held discussions over the past six months. The company chose Scholastic as its distribution model is in line with Lako Pacific’s expansion aims.
According to Scholastic, the company has had a longstanding relationship with Harvey Norman and aims to expand the range across all of its stores across Australia and internationally. It is also looking at ways to expand the business through the Leading Edge stores.
Scholastic media and technology manager, Wayne Cooper, said, “One of the key components of this agreement is providing a personal contact and service at the store level through our national sales team. We are going to be taking their products in and talking to all these accounts and other retailers.”
The range of more than 50 products will be sold separately but with the launch of the products, there will be incentives on offer that will be divulged when the products are released to the market on July 21.
Lako Pacific also recently appointed a public relations consulting firm to assist with further marketing Kaiser Baas products and building brand equity.
It will continue to distribute Kaiser Baas products and the other brands – PCTV and PenPower.
