ADI fits first piece of channel Jigsaw

Australian document management software vendor Advanced Data Integration (ADI) has announced its first channel partner, appointing Jigsaw Services as its primary reseller for South Australia.
Jigsaw Services will market ADI's document management product, DataWorks, to South Australian businesses, while Jigsaw sister company ADC Results will provide implementation, training, support services and account management.
DataWorks is a particularly popular product among local governments, with 90 implementations at local governments across the country. It is also beginning to penetrate state and federal government agencies in such areas as health, education and utilities.
ADI managing director Chris Gorry said that while the software vendor was taking some significant steps toward a channel model, it would continue to involve itself in the servicing of clients. "While Jigsaw will be providing the services and account management, we are not withdrawing from that territory," he said. "We will supplement their services with quarterly client visits and the like."
Gorry said ADI is currently in negotiations with a reseller in New Zealand to strike up a similar agreement, and will be actively pursuing more reseller opportunities in Western Australia before Christmas.
