With Christmas merchandising in full swing, Logitech has announced its new line-up of peripherals for the retail market.
This year has seen the vendor move into gaming accessories, and the holiday line-up includes two controllers: the Momo Force steering wheel and the WingMan Cordless Rumblepad. The move has proved successful for the Nasdaq-listed company, which was recently listed as the best IT stock in the computers and peripherals sector by BusinessWeek, ahead of Dell and Taiwan manufacturer Asustek Computer.
The Rumblepad is the first 2.4GHz cordless radio technology gamepad, according to the vendor, and features dual vibration feedback and up to 50 hours battery life. Operating in a range of around six metres or more, the gamepad will be available early in December and will retail for $129.
For serious gamers, Logitech has teamed up with the same team responsible for the steering wheel in Michael Schumacher's Ferrari to offer the Momo Force for PC racing. It will retail for $499.
The vendor is also offering home and office accessories such as the Cordless Freedom Optical bundle -- a keyboard and mouse package priced at $249 -- and the newly released ClickSmart 510 digital camera, which can also be used for Web broadcasting and which retails for $399.
