Siemens invests in channel hires

The enterprise communications vendor has hired two new channel staff, Nick Pappas and Jay Bhattacharya, to help drive its channel base

Siemens Enterprise Communications has appointed two new channel managers to help drive sales and SMB business growth.

Nick Pappas has joined as senior channel manager and Jay Bhattacharya has been appointed as channel manager.

They will focus on enhancing relationships with existing partners as well as develop new relationships in the region.

Siemens Enterprise Communications A/NZ general manager, Edgar Giesel, said the appointments reflected the business’ commitment to make its mark in the Australian communications market.

Pappas will be responsible for working closely with its business partner community to increase its footprint and market share in the SMB segment. He expects to achieve this by further developing the company’s current support model.

“Our aim is to open up the communication lines with our reseller network and offer them all the support and training they need to be successful,” Pappas said. “Each channel partner has its own niche play, and we’re really looking to help them fulfil their space.”

Prior to joining Siemens, Pappas worked for IPL.

Bhattacharya has previously worked at various IT firms including business social networking site ZaaBiz.
