Telstra has teamed up with technology and outsourcing provider, Accenture to deliver a range of cloud computing services labelled Network Computing Services.
The alliance will see the combination of both companies abilities to provide a single delivery model. Telstra will be supplying its network and IT infrastructure and Accenture will bring its application integration and migration capabilities to the table.
Network Computing Services will offer ICT services that will be accessible over a secure Telstra network connection, and delivered from centralised Australia-based datacentres hosted physically within a Telstra facility. It will supply a full spectrum ‘pay-as-you-use’ cost model.
“Our customers are accessing their network computing and storage solution from where they need it, to help deliver productivity benefits along with cost and capital expenditure savings,” Telstra enterprise and government group managing director, Nerida Caesar, said in a statement.
Accenture Australia managing director, Steve Willis, said the alliance was timely due to many organisations focused on driving growth, productivity and keeping their costs at a minimum.
“We are working with clients, providing them with access to the right skills, technologies and network infrastructure, at the right time,” Willis said.
