- 25 January, 2005 07:30
Netgear is hoping to switch on its resellers by offering a range of national education and training programs in the next two months.
The first session is a free Reseller Technology Update that aims to provide resellers with an overview of new products and assist them to maximise sales opportunities.
The update will be run in the evening and cover areas such as VoIP, MIMO Technology, ADSL2+ and the digital home. Registration for the Sydney session closes on February 13.
For resellers looking to expand their technical understanding; VPN, Managed Switch and Wireless technical training courses will also be offered.
The VPN workshop will look at VPN theory and the construction of VPNs in various product environments.
Running for the first time, the Managed Switch workshop will look at Layer 2 and Layer 3 switch theory, and the implementation of switch features such as link aggregation, spanning tree, QoS, VLANs, access control lists and port security. It will also cover power over ethernet, networking with fibre and Netgear's NMS 100 SNMP network management software.
The Netgear Wireless workshop will consider wireless theory, the practical construction of wireless networks and Netgear's new AutoCell technology.
The first person from any organisation wishing to attend either of these courses will be charged $490. There is a $99 discount for a second person attending from the same organisation.
The cost of the Managed Switch workshop includes a Netgear FS526T 24 port 10/100 Smart Switch with two-gigabit ports, which the attendee keeps at the completion of the workshop.
The wireless course price includes a Netgear WG102 Wireless Access Point with AutoCell and a FS108P 8 port 10/100 Switch with integrated Power over Ethernet.
