Amtex Electronics has taken out Nemic Lambda's distributor of the region award at the vendor's annual conference in Indonesia last month.
It is the second year running the Australian-owned distributor and manufacturer Amtex has won the award. According to Nemic officials the award was given in recognition of significant increases in sales for its products in Australia, at a time when other regions are experiencing a slow down in demand.
Peter Mitso, sales and marketing manager for Amtex, attributes the distributor's success to Nemic's own factory support and service, product reliability and overall engineering quality of the vendor's products which have helped Amtex ramp up sales across the country.
Amtex began distributing Nemic's range of PC power supplies three years ago after a relationship with another vendor broke down.
"Having previously thrown our efforts behind the support of another brand, replacing the supplier was going to create certain challenges," said Jim Kuswadi, Amtex managing director. "We were confident that with clever strategies, sound marketing and trusting customer relationships, we would soon demonstrate Nemic Lambda to be an even stronger option, and we were right."
