Point-of-sale distributor, POS POS, has struck a deal with IBM to supply its Retail Store Solutions (RSS).
The distributor will have access to IBM’s SurePOS point-of-sale and AnyPlace Kiosk self-service solutions.
“IBM has been a target vendor of POS POS for a number of years and we are very pleased to be coming together at this point in time,” POS POS CEO, Daniel Danielli, said. “The partnership with IBM is in line with our broader vendor strategy where we are focused on best-of-breed partnerships with a strong channel focus.”
POS POS sales and marketing manager, Vik Devjee, added the new deal completed its range of top vendors in the point-of-sale market. Some of its other major vendors include Epson, Motorola and Datalogic.
“IBM fits in a part of the market that we couldn’t service before,” he said. “We’ll be looking at attracting more point-of-sale integrators and resellers in the kiosk space.”
POS POS has also appointed Kelli Ponting as its IBM vendor development manager. She will be based in Brisbane and has previously worked for Vantex and Cellnet.
In a statement, RSS lead for IBM, Chris Fasseau, said the latest distribution appointment will provide resellers with more choice when purchasing retail offerings.
