This 14.1-inch notebook has a native resolution of 1280 x 800. A 2.53GHz Intel P8700 CPU delivers the processing power, while a 320GB hard drive provides the storage space. It uses an Intel GM4500MHD chipset for graphics and supports 2GB of DDR3 RAM. The S7220 has an ExpressCard/54 slot that can also use ExpressCard/34 cards. A four-in-one (SD, SDHC, MS, MSPro) card reader gives the laptop the ability to read cards without using a separate device to transfer the stored data, while its DVD-RW drive can read and write DVDs and CDs. A D-Sub port allows external display devices to connect to the laptop and the three USB 2.0 ports provide connectivity for compatible devices. There is also an RJ45 Ethernet port for Gigabit LAN connectivity while the Intel WiFi Link 5300AGN provides wireless networking capabilities. Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR is also included to connect compatible devices like headphones. A 1.3MP Web cam and two stereo microphones are built into the bezel of the LifeBook S7220 for easier Web conferencing. Dual stereo speakers are also built into the laptop for audio playback. The machine includes one headphone and one microphone jack for connecting audio devices. For security, Fujitsu provides BIOS password locking as well as an integrated fingerprint sensor, which allows users to log in automatically based on their registered fingerprints. The LifeBook S7220 measures 334 x 242 x 35mm.
