State of the market

  • The market rose sharply in early morning trading and then levelled off. Hoever, it surged again in afternoon trading. The S&P/ASX200 finished 45.4 points up at 4831.1.
  • The Aussie dollar is down, but not by much. It currently sells for $US0.9072. Gold is up to $US1065 an ounce while oil is up to $US74.2 a barrel
