Meru Networks’ wireless LAN (WLAN) management application for the Apple iPhone has been launched in Australia.
The E(z)RF onTheGo has been specifically formatted for the iPhone and iPod touch. It allows network administrators to view WLAN data from the browser-based application’s management software, which can be done untethered from a user’s desktop console over a Wi-Fi or cellular network.
Information layout can be customised and the E(z)RF can receive notifications of high-priority events such as user connectivity problems.
The application’s distributor, Wavelink, said the new product should encourage resellers to get in on Meru Network’s offerings.
Jonathan Ordman, director, Wavelink, said, "this new offering from Meru Networks is just another reason why resellers should get behind its solutions. E(z)RF OnTheGo provides more than convenience for IT managers."
