Edimax has released its 3G-6200n Wireless 3G Broadband Router with a built-in Ethernet WAN port for cable or xDSL modems.
Supporting all 3G and 3.5G broadband carriers in Australia as well as xDSL cable broadband the unit offers a choice of either LAN, WAN or 3G access points.
The unit is compatible with IEEE 802.11n and a statement from the vendor claims wireless data transmission rates can reach up to 150Mbps - a speed three times faster than a standard 802.11g/b router.
The EzView on screen menu system allows users both remote Internet and local management of the router. The unit also features one-click Wi-Fi Protected Setup to create a secure wireless network.
The unit caters for simultaneous multiple user downloads and functions as a print server supporting LPR and network printing when connected to a USB printer.
The Edimax 3G-6200n Wireless 3G Broadband Router is available through distributor Bluechip Infotech and retails at $149.
