Lenovo has launched an ultra-thin ThinkPad T400s notebook and its latest generation of docking stations.
The T400s weighs 1.77kg and has a total thickness of 21mm. It features a 14.1-inch LED screen with a built-in DVD-burner. Users can choose between a 2.4GHz and a 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor.
Unlike Lenovo’s previous slim offering, the ThinkPad X300, the T400s will offer either an ExpressCard/34 slot or a 5-in-1 card reader. 250GB of data storage is provided by either a spin-up hard drive or an SSD.
eSATA, USB, Display Port and D-Sub connections are provided. A sleep and charge USB 2.0 port is included, which lets users power devices connected to the computer via a USB cable when the laptop is switched off.
Lenovo also refreshed its line-up of port replicators and mini docks with the ThinkPad Port Replicator Series 3, the Mini Dock Series 3 and the Mini Dock Plus Series 3.
New features on the Mini Dock Plus Series 3 include a Display Port, two DVI ports, an eSATA port, six USB 2.0 ports and a D-Sub port. The dock will not work with any previous Lenovo notebooks.
The RRP for ThinkPad T400s begins at $2899. The Port Replicator Series 3, the Mini Dock Series 3 and the Mini Dock Plus Series 3 cost $199, $279 and $299, respectively. All products are available now.
