Canon adds two

Two new staff added to the vendor's retail ranks

Canon Australia has increased its sales staff with two new appointments to focus on the vendor’s retail activities.

Brydie York has been appointed as the vendors’ general manager – retail and consumer leadership, and Troy Cabot is the new national business manager – retail. Both are newly created roles.

York will be responsible for the national account teams, who manage Canon’s retail customer base, and will also lead the vendor’s category management team. She has already been with the vendor for eight months as the leader of its category management strategy.

Cabot will operate within York’s team and is responsible for managing the vendor’s national account managers. He has been with the vendor since 2007 as a national account manager in Victoria and was most recently the field sales manager for Victoria and Tasmania.

In a statement, the vendor claimed the appointments formed part of its strategy to be more channel-focused. It also recently appointed [[artnid:299499Craig Manson to help facilitate this strategy.
