HP has unveiled a selection of new products, solutions and services for SMBs as part of an extension of its Total Care initiative.
New infrastructure offerings cover storage, virtualisation, remote access, consolidation and print.
The new storage offerings include: The StorageWorks X1000 and X3000 Network Storage Systems (prices start from $8544 and are available in Australia from June 15 through Avnet Solutions, Dicker Data, Ingram Micro Australia, and Lynx Technologies); and the 2000i and 2000sa G2 Modular Smart Arrays.
For virtualisation, the vendor is offering a new bundle that incorporates VMware software and HP server, storage and networking technology. (Pricing starts from $59,990 with the solution available through Avnet Solutions, Dicker Data, Ingram Micro Australia, and Lynx Technologies.)
There are also remote access solutions incorporating Citrix XenApp Fundamentals and Branch Office Consolidation solutions on offer.
“Effective and efficient data management is a commercial imperative, regardless of the size of your business” HP StorageWorks product manager, Mark Nielsen, said. “This bundle of hardware, software and services is designed to reduce the complexity of storage for small and medium businesses, while delivering new capabilities and reducing cost.”
The vendor was unable to confirm whether its Australian operations would also offer cloud computing services through a partner – as it does in the US with Cast Iron and in the UK with Cob Web – by the time of publication.
