Former Astaro Corporation sales vice-president, Bryan Stibbard, has been appointed Premier Global Services (PGS) South-East Asia channel sales director.
In the newly created role, Stibbard will be based in Melbourne, taking care of existing channel partner relations as well as providing channel direction in his region. He will also assess PGS’ existing partnership program.
“It won’t be a total revamp,” he said. “I’m looking to review the program as well as getting more partner feedback.”
Stibbard is also on the hunt for new partners, with plans to add 15 to 20 partners in three key product categories: Conferencing, alerts and notifications, and e-marketing. But he warns potential associates of a rigorous screening process.
“It will not only be based on revenues,” he said. “It will involve the target markets we want to go for, experience in relevant products, a whole range of criteria.”
In a statement, managing director, Dennis Choo, said PGS is committed to bolstering channel presence and is in a strong position to build relationships with new partners.
Having worked at Symantec, Computer Associates and Astaro Corportation, Stibbard has more than10 years experience in enterprise security and storage sales under his belt.
He was employed at Astaro for 15 months before moving to PGS.
