Acronis takes partner portal live

Disaster recovery and back up vendor, Acronis, has unveiled a new online partner portal as part of its channel program.
The new portal aims to arm resellers with educational resources and tools designed to enhance their sales process.
General manager, Bill Taylor-Mountford, said the company wanted to enhance services and initiate more of a partner community.
“We wanted to add some structure, validity and credibility, and to improve our service to our partners,” he said. “There’s an online 24/7 access to our support program, and there are things like technical resources and educational material.
“It’s going to build and be improved over time. We’re going to look at dabbling in blogs and feedback, to help establish more of a community.”
Through the portal, partners can also access lead generation support, training material, view the list of Acronis products and can order merchandise.
Acronis has about 200 partners through its distributors including Datastor, Manaccom and SAN Systems.
The vendor first highlighted its intentions to introduce a new program in November. The Channel Partner Program contains three levels including Authorised, Certified and Enterprise Solutions partner.
