Peter Sandilands, founding regional director of Check Point Software Technologies Australia/NZ, has announced his resignation, after five years at the helm.
Sandilands will leave the company at the end of this month and is to be replaced temporarily by Limor Bakal, vice president, international sales and marketing. Bakal is currently based in the US.
"Over the last five years, we have more than quadrupled the company's revenue in the region, opened offices in Sydney and Melbourne, and established a strong channel partner family," Sandilands said.
"However, I'm an entrepreneur at heart and the company has evolved to the point where I feel it should now be captained by someone who enjoys the dynamics of a corporate role."
Sandilands has announced no future plans beyond taking a break from the industry to spend time with his family.
